As it was predicted, the hub was staying on first page on Google for “mesothelioma treatement options” within 24 h and now it can’t be found anywhere::)). If you are doing your hub first time and it happened to you, please, do not panic. Start giving “injections” to you hub by submitting it to the social sites and “stumbling”. It will move your hub back on first positions, and every time you feel like you are “loosing” it again, simply refresh the hub’s content by adding a new paragraph or a very “important” update::)). I am not gonna do any of these for this particular hub as it was a pure experiment. The main purpose of this hub was to find out whether the “mesothelioma” keywords are very well paid by AdSense. Now, let me tell you this: NO, they are NOT. At least, they are not that profitable for everyone. I think Google has more complicated scheme for paying out and the cost depends on many factors.

Here is my verdict and if you can read between lines, that you basically get a formula for how to get paid by writing hubs:

if you like writing, write about something that you are passionnate about, be creative and this hub will bring you good money. This is what happened with my “fun” hub about Russian Borsch, that was written just for fun, without even thinking about AdSense or getting paid for creating it::)). I published it on May 26, 2008 and since then it was viewed 850 times and the video that I created specifically for this hub was viewed more than 1,200 times::))

Now I am telling you the second part of this “formula”: write as often as you can. The more hubs you have, the more money you make. It’s that simple. The Hubs are getting indexed by Google very quickly, I guess because of their structure. You have complete control over them, you can always refresh content of your most successful hubs that bring you money. What’s the reason to invest in landing pages and then pay for AdWords when you can create a quality page for free and get instant traffic to it?

I have decided to run a little experiment and find out whether the word “mesothelioma” is one of the high paying keywords. I have been using the most searchable “mesothelioma” keywords for creating a hub about mesothelioma. Since I have experience and know how to get it on first page on Google, my investment in this experiment was 1 hour for writing an article and waiting 24 h to see the results. The hub is on first page now for “mesothelioma treatment options” and I will continue to update you whether I got high payments for these particular keywords or not:)

There are 2 easiest and yet free ways to get instant traffic to a new blog. First, is to get your blog “stumbled” (www.stumbleupon.com). Second, is by joining Entrecard’s community (www.entrecard.com). If you have never heard about it and have no idea what I am talking about now, here is a quick info:

• it is a social tool bar that you have to install in you browser
• the tool will automatically bring you to pages that are tagged with the keywords in random order
• if you are not sure whether your site is already listed on stumbleupon, visit http://reviews.stumbleupon.com, type your url and check it out

Here are some of my experience so far with Stumbleupon

• it doesn’t work for e-commerce sites, so don’t expect to increase your sales through stumbleupon
• 90% of traffic is “bounced”, but if your content is unique, or you offer great stuff for free, you will definitely retain Stumbleupon visitors
• the number of visitors will be start slowly decreasing in 48 hours after “stumbling”

How to use Stumbleupon for generating traffic?

• do NOT stumble your own articles and blog posts, this is the easiest way to get banned
• join so-called “buzz” groups where people exchange “stumbles”
• stumble your most interesting blog posts
• while you stumble somebody’s content, take a minute and leave a short review (yes, you have this option). Don’t leave terrible non-value reviews like “great blog”, “nice layout” etc - you got the idea.
• as a member of a “buzz” group, you don’t have to stumble every single post or article, but you have to participate if you want to get “stumbles” in exchange.
